The GCC can do as little as rent you the facilities or as much as organize everything including the food.  You just provide the enthusiastic participants and willing sponsors.

Some things to consider are:

• When would you like the bonspiel
• Would you like a 1 or 2 day bonspiel
• Will it be an adult or family event?
• If it is a family event you must consider the skill level i.e. very young children may not be able to throw the rock the full length of the ice
• Can you get enough people to participate?  GCC consists of 6 sheets of ice and there would be 2 teams per sheet at 4 per team = 8 per sheet for a total of 48 participants.
• Do you want the bonspiel to have a theme?
• How many "games" or draws would you like?  2 or 3 or...
• Sponsors - who are they and how will they contribute.  Is there a major sponsor or sponsors that would pay the rental fees and provide prizes?
• Will you provide your own food or would you like GCC to arrange this for you?  We have a women's auxiliary that provides excellent food if that is what you desire or perhaps you would like a potluck.  There is a full kitchen available should you wish to use it.  In addition there is a bar and server available
• Prizes - GCC leaves that up to the organization holding the bonspiel.
• Entertainment - do you want to hold a dance at the end of the day or just have some music playing during the dinner?

The Director of Bonspiels is responsible for the rental contract and booking the date(s).

The Director of Special Programs is responsible for some of the finer details of organizing charitable spiels should you require that assistance.
